News: October 1: New licensing system for Articulated classes HC and MC
MVR has announced on Oct 1 2018 its new system of licensing for HC and MC is beginning. This will make it harder for licence upgrade 'dodgies' to operate in the NT market. At NATA, we believe it is high time something was done to reinforce the message that heavy vehicle licence holders are highly skilled and trained professionals. Fortunately, not much will change at NATA, our courses are already designed and delivered to high standards, and the new system seeks to extend this level of professionalism across the NT driver training and assessment industry. You, as licence upgrade applicants, can look forward to a new system, where the past emphasis on the licensing task, is replaced by a National standard learning environment, where licensing outcomes are earned, and new skills are truly learned.
The 2018 Load Restraint Guide has been approved in March 2018. Update your load restraint knowledge with TLIA1001 Secure Load or TLID2004 Load and Unload Cargo, both now available for bookings. The new LRG (PDF) can be found here
